Marble, oak and burnt orange

Marble, oak and burnt orange
Promethée is a spits whose hold has been opened into one generous, light-filled room. Behind her black hull and white wheelhouse, polished concrete, round portholes and skylights set the stage, while an original steel beam in rust red crosses the space as a quiet industrial counterpoint. The approach was simple: a few noble materials, each given room to breathe.
A kitchen on a raised oak floor
The kitchen pairs burnt-orange cabinetry with a veined marble island, set on a raised herringbone oak floor that marks it out from the rest of the room. Two stepped oak volumes rise beside it like an amphitheatre, giving seating, storage and a change of level in one gesture.
Fire and a view
A red wood-burning stove anchors the living space and picks up the colours of the kitchen and the beam. Up in the wheelhouse, a built-in corner lounge offers panoramic views over the water, the best seat on board for the end of the day.
